Facility Development

Development - Management - Consulting

The backbone of every project we encounter lies within our in-depth feasibility analysis. We will go to work the minute you call us to determine the financial feasibility of the proposed project. We begin by a thorough assessment of the surrounding market, as well as general and unique market conditions and variables. We investigate the payer mix, procedure mix, and the market in which you are located. All of that information is reported in the form of a pro forma which will provide you with a cash flow and income statement covering the first 5 years of operation, profit and loss, assumptions, and a capital estimation breakout. Once a determination has been made concerning the financial feasibility of the facility, then we can commence with the development services that you need.

To be successful in developing any new facility, you must fully understand the complicated regulatory compliance issues, as well as the architectural and design code requirements. It is imperative that you create the proper ownership structure for yourself and any present or future partners. Calisher & Associates, Inc. specializes in turnkey development (from inception to planning and design concepts all the way through State licensure, Medicare Certification, and Accreditation of Surgical Hospitals, and Ambulatory Surgery and Endoscopy Centers (ASC's). We offer a full range of services for both Multi-Specialty and Single Specialty facilities including but not limited to acute care hospitals, ASC’s, Pain Management, Imaging, Sports Medicine facilities, Dental ASC's, and Medical Office Buildings.

Turnkey Development includes ALL aspects of development. Very few companies actually provide true turnkey services, and we are one of them. Close attention will be paid to exactly which regulations and guidelines must be followed depending on the state involved and the type of regulatory approval that will be sought. There are differences between State Licensure, Medicare Certification, and Accreditation, and the key is to understanding these essential differences. It is critical to follow the rules governing the regulatory approvals that each facility is seeking. If this component is not thoroughly understood or overlooked, it creates unnecessary expenses during the development phase and does not guarantee that all specific regulations governing your particular project are covered. Consequently, it can mean that approval to open your facility will be denied.
